Thank You for Visiting Main Street Lawn, Garden and Hardware!

 In September 2002, Germanton Mercantile was established as an independent, local lawn, garden, and general hardware store.  We have worked since that first day to provide Germanton and the surrounding areas with quality products and service.  With the communities loyal and dedicated support we simply outgrew our space.

In February 2009, we moved to Rural Hall and changed our name to Main Street Lawn, Garden, and Hardware.  With great appreciation many of our long time customers followed us to our larger space.  With the additional space we are better equipped to serve both our old friends as well as our new ones.

 Here at Main Street Lawn, Garden, and Hardware we strive to do our best to help our customers with their needs and wants.  We have a general hardware section including plumbing and electrical sections for most any home repair.  We also carry a diverse selection of garden and potting soils, grass seed and fertilizers.  We also provide locally grown vegetable and bedding plants along with vegetable seed.  And, of course, we have bird seed, feeders, and accessories and many other pet supplies.

With the expansion came the Echo Power Equipment line, Lakin McKey clothing and Bogs Footwear. 

Main Street Lawn, Garden, and Hardware has local personnel who know the seasons and climate and can recommend what products are best suited for your needs.  Here at Main Street we strive to give you quality service and the best products we can offer.
